Enrichment Programs

Our after school program accepts students in Kindergarten – grade 8. We welcome students from the Greater Worcester area and home school groups to join us.

Guided by the principles of Think, Explore, Create, students at T.E.C. participate in a variety of after-school classes, which are offered in three sessions during the year. The sessions are September-November, December-February, and March-June. Program costs are conveyed at the beginning of each session. Classes are scheduled from 4:00pm-5:00pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm.  Enrichment classes include Hands-On Science, Lego Club, Robotics, iPad Animation, 3D Printing, SCRATCH programming, Robo-Puppets, Coding with Minecraft, Martial Arts, Choir Group, Music Instruments, Destination Imagination, Debate Team, Financial Literacy, and individual tutoring.

Before and After School Care

At T.E.C., we understand the needs of working families and offer several programs to meet their needs before and after school hours.

Before School Care is offered daily from 7:45am-8:15am and costs $5.00 per day. Students may come daily or be dropped off on daily basis. The environment is prepared for students to experience a calm morning, enjoy their breakfast and participate in art and brain games.

After School Care is offered daily from 3:30-4:00pm and costs $5.00 per day. Students participate in outdoor games and have a snack before being dismissed for enrichment classes or to go home.




  • Kitchen Chemistry- Monday, 4pm-5pm. Cost $175 for 12 weeks program.

Learn  the science of molecular bonding, solutions, mixtures, and more by delicious dishes like homemade ice-cream and through combining everyday kitchen items in new and novel ways. Students will explore how to execute exciting science experiments with kitchen basics such as flour, water, and salt. It will inspire the chef and the scientist in the child.


  • Private Piano Lessons – Tuesday, 3:00pm-5:30pm. Cost: 1 hour lesson at $60 per hour, half hour lesson at $35 per hour

Work with Mr. Johnson, an accomplished musician and composer to gain proficiency through individually tailored instruction in piano playing and music theory. Students learn better practice methods leading to better rate of progress. Whether a beginner or an advanced student seeking to master your piano skills, you will be challenged to reach your goals.


  • Coding With Minecraft – Wednesday, 4pm-5pm. March 8-29. Cost $60 for 4 weeks program.

It’s here! The much awaited Minecraft class engages students in the enchanting world of programming. Young programmers explore the concepts of coding as they learn to modify Minecraft to bring their own imagination to life. Whether it is a city or an animal, science or geography, participants will learn to code and experience the fascinating Minecraft world.

  • Young Engineers Build Self-Propelled Vehicles- Wednesday,  4pm-5pm. April 5-June 7. Cost $120 for 8 weeks program. 

This is one of our most popular units where students engage in building contraptions that move by studying forms of energy. Students will build contraptions that are powered by stored energy, kinetic energy, mechanical energy, and more. Students imagine, explore and create new contraptions to test their knowledge!


  • Destination Imagination (DI)- Thursday, 4pm-6pm until March 9. 4pm-5:30pm from March 16-May 29 Cost $300 for 12 weeks program.

Grades K-2 (non-competitive), Grades 3-5 and 6-8 (competitive)

DI is an international competition which pushes a team of to solve both timed and extended challenges. The challenges empower students to think autonomously, build teamwork and analytical thinking skills, and develop long-lasting friendships with team members. Students build and test their acting skills, develop their ability to think on their feet, and learn to construct a variety of structures and experiments in the most functional and creative ways they can think of! DI has its own calendar based on the tournament dates. Regional tournament is typically held on a weekend in March and State tournament is on a weekend in April, Global Finals are held in Tennessee in May.


  • Ninja Training- Friday, 4pm-5pm. Cost $150 for 12 weeks program.

Are you ready to unleash your inner Ninja? Ninja Training is a physical training program that incorporates martial arts, acrobatics, gymnastics, and athletics. Students learn the ways of the Ninja; discipline, focus, obstacle training, and special skills and moves. Students will gain independence and confidence, and will receive strength and agility training.

Enrollment: Enrollment in the After School Program at The T.E.C. Schools is on a first come first serve basis. Students may enroll at anytime in the session if space is available. Tuition will be prorated.

Withdrawal: Students may withdraw after the first lesson at no cost. Tuition is non-refundable after the first class.

Tuition Payment: Tuition must be paid in full before the first class of every session. Tuition will not be refunded in cases of student absences.

Teacher Absences and Snow Days: We will make every effort to make up classes cancelled due to teacher absences or inclement weather. The T.E.C. Schools will inform the parents in an event that class is cancelled. We follow the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) protocol and will be closed when WPS is closed for snow days.
