Enrichment Programs

Our after school program accepts students in Kindergarten – grade 8. We welcome students from the Greater Worcester area and home school groups to join us.

Guided by the principles of Think, Explore, Create, students at T.E.C. participate in a variety of after-school classes, which are offered in three sessions during the year. The sessions are September-November, December-February, and March-June. Program costs are conveyed at the beginning of each session. Classes are scheduled from 4:00pm-5:00pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm.  Enrichment classes include Hands-On Science, Lego Club, Robotics, iPad Animation, 3D Printing, SCRATCH programming, Robo-Puppets, Coding with Minecraft, Martial Arts, Choir Group, Music Instruments, Destination Imagination, Debate Team, Financial Literacy, and individual tutoring.

Before and After School Care

At T.E.C., we understand the needs of working families and offer several programs to meet their needs before and after school hours.

Before School Care is offered daily from 7:45am-8:15am and costs $5.00 per day. Students may come daily or be dropped off on daily basis. The environment is prepared for students to experience a calm morning, enjoy their breakfast and participate in art and brain games.

After School Care is offered daily from 3:30-4:00pm and costs $5.00 per day. Students participate in outdoor games and have a snack before being dismissed for enrichment classes or to go home.




  • Private Piano Lessons- Monday and Thursday, 3:30pm-5pm. 1 hour lesson at $60/hour, half hour lesson at $35/half hour

Work with Mr. Johnson, an accomplished musician and composer, to gain proficiency through individually tailored instruction in piano playing and music theory. Students learn better practice methods leading to optimal rate of progress. Whether a beginner or an advanced student seeking to master your piano skills, you will be challenged to reach your goals.


  • Lego Club- Monday, 4pm-5pm. Cost $150 for 10 weeks program.

Calling all Lego fans! Lego enthusiasts continue to explore and build with gears and axles in this engaging club. As the classes progress, students learn to integrate motors to power their contraptions.


  • Animals! – Tuesday, 4pm-5pm. Cost $150 for 10 weeks program.

We will explore the “how to” of drawing animals to create a recognizable pet! We will focus on building simple shapes into an animal; how to draw fur, feathers, scales, etc., and how to make these lovable creatures look three dimensional.


  • 3D Printing! – Tuesday, 4pm-5pm. Cost $175 for 10 weeks program.

Students, new and experienced, learn the basics of computer-aided design using 3D modeling software TinkerCAD. The course covers basic design principles and creation techniques — everything you need to get started designing your own 3D creations! All programming is available in an online repository for easy home access. Students leave with their own 3D printed creations.


  • Destination Imagination (DI)- Thursday, 4pm-6pm. Cost $300 for 10 weeks program.

Grades K-2 (non-competitive), Grades 3-5 and 6-8 (competitive), Time: 2 hrs/week

DI is an international competition which pushes a team of students to solve both timed and extended challenges. The challenges empower students to think autonomously, build teamwork and analytical thinking skills, and develop long-lasting friendships with team members. Students build and test their acting skills, develop their ability to think on their feet, and learn to construct a variety of structures and experiments in the most functional and creative ways they can think of! DI has its own calendar based on the tournament dates. The Regional Tournament is typically held on a weekend in March and the State Tournament is on a weekend in March or April, Global Finals are held in Tennessee in May.

  • Session I: 10 weeks, from week of September 12 to week of November 14.
  • Session II: 15 weeks, from week of November 28 to week of March 27. Please Note: Students who wish to participate in the tournament must participate in sessions I and II.
  • Session III: 9 weeks, from week of April 3 to week of June 5.


  • Young Engineers, 4pm-5pm. Cost $175 for 10 weeks program.

Are you ready to unleash your inner BUILDER? Build contraptions that move by studying forms of energy. Students will build various vehicles that are powered by stored energy, kinetic energy, mechanical energy, and more. Students imagine and create new mechanisms and gadgets!

Come and join us for one or all after school programs. Bring your friends too!


Enrollment: Enrollment in the After School Program at The T.E.C. Schools is on a first come first serve basis. Students may enroll at anytime in the session if space is available. Tuition will be prorated.

Withdrawal: Students may withdraw after the first lesson at no cost. Tuition is non-refundable after the first class.

Tuition Payment: Tuition must be paid in full before the first class of every session. Tuition will not be refunded in cases of student absences.

Teacher Absences and Snow Days: We will make every effort to make up classes cancelled due to teacher absences or inclement weather. The T.E.C. Schools will inform the parents in an event that class is cancelled. Although we predominantly follow the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) protocol and will be closed when WPS is closed for snow days, we may occasionally stay open based on road conditions. Please check our website for updates.

After School Care: After school care is available from 3:30pm-4:00pm each day, prior to the start of the After School programs. Children will have supervised time to play in our green spaces, weather permitting, and there will be time for snack. Cost is $5 per day.
